COURSES

The objective of the course is to provide the requisite skills and knowledge to enable the student to get into a wide variety of jobs in the mobile phone industry or to start a mobile phone repair outlet.

Course duration: 2 months
Eligibility: 10th class passed

Methodology: The course will be a mix of interactive theory sessions and hands-on lab sessions. Personal attention and proper mentoring will be ensured through optimally sized batches of 16. Video instruction in the class room enables the student to see and feel even the minutest details.

Course Contents:

Module 1 - Cell phone basics
This module exposes the students to the working of a cell phone, Cell Phone technologies and terminology, Components in a cell phone, Cell phone models, Tools used for repairing cell phones,
Dismantling and assembling cell phones.

Module 2 - Basic Electronics
This module exposes the students to basic electronics knowledge required for servicing mobile phones, understanding circuit diagrams, soldering and desoldering components and usage of tools for the same.

Module 3 – Cell phone hardware (Chip level)
This module exposes the students to cell phone circuit diagram, circuit tracing methods
Fault finding, troubleshooting and repairing techniques for various components of cell phone, accessories, dead phone and network

Module 4 – Software
This module exposes the student to the usage of PC, Software used in cell phones, MCU, PPM , PMM, installing applications and drivers, converting and downloading logos, ringtones, video and repairing software related problems.

Module 5 – Career skills
This module has two tracks depending on whether the student opts for placement or for self employment.
Placement track – Life skills, resume preparation, interview handling.
Self employment track – Planning for business, handling customers, managing repair centre.
